We teach as a team. It is likely that all of us will teach your child at some point this year.
Curriculum Overview
PE
Please wear PE kit to school:
- Tuesday - PE kit
- Hygiene – showers and deodorant
PE Kit:
- Plain shorts / leggings / tracksuit bottoms with school badge (dark blue or John Scurr blue)
- Plain long or short sleeved T-shirt (white or pale blue). Additional sweatshirt (blue).
- They will also need trainers or plimsolls.
Homework
Small tasks set on the following websites:
- Maths tasks on Freckle
- Writing and subject tasks on CUSP (www.and-i-learn.com)
- Reading tasks on Accelerated Reader
Set on Friday and due on Wednesdays.
Reading at Home
Daily reading – minimum 20 minutes
Selection of books – children must take quizzes
Millionaire Readers win rewards and go to Foyles book shop with Maria for a free book.

- The main gates open at 8:45am.
- The bell will ring at 8:45am.
- Our guided reading begins at 8:50am, meaning anyone who is late is missing out on learning.
- Arrival after 9:00am will be marked as late.
We hold high expectations of all of our students and expect them to attend school on time, every single day. Missing a single session has a negative impact on their learning and progress and we encourage you to mirror the same expectations at home. Please encourage your children to attend and refrain from keeping them at home unless absolutely necessary.
