Nicholas Hawksmoor was an architect who created inspirational buildings in our area and across the UK. As a group of schools we are at the start of a process of building something new together.
We have joined together to embark on a curriculum project through exploring the positive impact of professional fidelity on our pupils, staff and families.
All three schools - John Scurr Primary, Thomas Buxton Primary and William Davis Primary - are also part of other partnerships within the borough. We have a shared commitment to maintaining these links for the benefit of our pupils, staff and families.
The Hawksmoor Project has arisen from the need for schools to address the pressures of finance and pupil place planning. We seek to remain as autonomous schools and are open to others being part of this process.
Our schools already also have a commitment to a shared curriculum framework, CUSP (Curriculum Unity Schools Partnership).
In the first year we will work to establish how the curriculum is implemented across each school and will achieve this through a peer review and curriculum lead collaboration.
We also seek to investigate curriculum development priorities and find support for each other in the delivery of each action.
Our long term goal is to move towards seeking solutions to our wider operational demands and costs, so that our school communities can thrive.
